Data controller

What data we process and why

When you book a 15-minute call we process your name, your email address, the time you choose and your answers in the booking form. We use them to handle the booking, prepare the conversation and contact you about it and about any proposal you ask us for.

When you email us we process your address and the content of your message so we can reply.

When you visit the website, our hosting provider processes your IP address and technical browser data to serve the pages and protect them from abuse. Visit measurement and calendar preloading only run if you accept them in the cookie notice.

Your data serves these purposes only: we use it for no advertising, no marketing profiles and no automated decisions.

Legal basis

When you book a call or write to us, you are asking us to contact you. We process that data to take steps at your request before a possible engagement (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR) and in our legitimate interest in handling and following up your request (Article 6(1)(f)). You can object to that follow-up at any time.

Technical browsing data is processed in our legitimate interest in running a secure, working website (Article 6(1)(f)).

Analytics and calendar preloading rely on your consent (Article 6(1)(a)), which you can withdraw at any time from “Cookie settings” at the foot of every page, without affecting earlier processing.

Providers that process data on our behalf

Cal.com (Cal.com, Inc., United States) runs the calendar and bookings. This involves an international data transfer, covered by the safeguards in Cal.com's data processing agreement.

Vercel hosts the website and, if you accept, measures visits and performance without cookies.

Namecheap Private Email runs our email.

Each provider processes data only on our instructions and with the safeguards required by the General Data Protection Regulation. Where a provider processes data outside the European Economic Area, it does so under an adequacy decision, standard contractual clauses or another valid transfer mechanism. Beyond these cases, we only disclose data to third parties when the law requires it.

How long we keep your data

We keep booking data and correspondence for as long as the relationship lasts and, after that, for up to 12 months if no engagement follows. If an engagement is agreed, we keep it for the periods required by law. After that, we delete it.

Your cookie choice is kept only in your browser, for 13 months.

Your rights

You can exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction of processing and portability, and withdraw your consent, by writing to info@som-hi.studio. We will reply within one month.

If you believe we have not handled your request properly, you can lodge a complaint with the Portuguese data protection authority, the Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (cnpd.pt), or with the authority in your country of residence; in Spain, the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (aepd.es).
